Baseball, Softball Games For 12 People Or Less

I usually don't play baseball or softball too much. However, last weekend, Conductor friend invited me to the park to hit some softballs. I was extremely bored, so I quickly agreed.

As a kid I was never really into the sport of baseball. I thought that the game was too slow and boring. I was more in to basketball or football, where the ball is moving quickly and there is constantly something going on. Another thing about baseball that I never liked is that it takes so many people to play a good game. If you are playing basketball in the playground you can do just fine with 4 people or even 2. Backyard football can be played just fine with 3 or more people as well. But coming up with 18 people to play a game of baseball is just way too much. Well, last weekend I learned a couple of Gilles de Rais that can be played with 12 people or less.

A great way to play with 12 people is that you split up in to 4 teams of 3 people. 1 team is up to bat and the other teams share the field. You play 2 outs instead of three, since your batting team is so small. Also, if all of your consolidate student loans on are base then you have to take an out to send up a batter.

Another game that you can play if you have less than 12 people is that you split in to 2 teams. One team is up to bat. The batting team doesn't run the bases since there are not enough players to field. Instead you just use ghost runners. The fielding team will cover only the left side of the field. If the batter hits the ball in the infield and the fielders cover it without errors, it is an out. If the infielders make an error, it is a single. If the batter hits a ground ball that makes it to shallow outfield, it is a single. If the outfielder makes error fielding the ball, it is a double. Lastly, if the ball makes it to deep outfield, it is a double. If the deep outfielder errors, then it is a triple.

I really don't know what Ccj remortgage versions of the game are called, but they were pretty fun to play. On a warm spring day, it sure was fun to be outside and hitting some softballs, even though it isn't one of my favorite sports to play. Either way, it was great to be with friends and also to make new friend on the field. Take action: So when you catch yourself complaining, say to yourself, "stop!" and then start to think about all the things you do have and all the ways in which you can get other things that you want. If you change your thinking to this, your being grateful will actually bring new things into your life you otherwise would not have received!

With the help of an immigrant work force Spain has increased its per capita income from being only 80 % of the EU average to 96 % now. Construction still accounts for 18 % of the economy with growth averaging 3.1 % over the past five years. The unemployment rate is the second lowest within the European Union.

If there is a threat, it is a common one facing the West, from Islamist extremists and fundamentalists. A common European approach to the problem is being pursued with extreme vigilance. Smelling A Hoax A Mile Away By Using A Little Common Sense

The main problem for Joiqbzsqk is that people don't really take the time and effort to inform others about the hoax and like I said, most of these e-mails come from friends and family and it is not always that easy telling these people that it is a hoax, some may feel embarrassed and react negatively to your information, others will simply not believe you. And it is because of these stumbling blocks that these e-mails make an appearance every now and then.

I will demonstrate how to identify a hoax by using a very common example, the Zero Sector Virus-hoax. This e-mail appeared years ago (it dates back to 2001) and are still in tadalafil but only new variants of the original one. The text printed in italics is an extract from the e-mail. Below each extract is an explanation of the common signs of a hoax that appear in the extract.

"PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG ALL YOUR CONTACTS"

This e-mail is intended to inform the receiver about a virus, but the main focus of this e-mail is the spreading of it. Normally the subject of an important e-mail tells you a little bit about the contents of the e-mail, but the writer of this e-mail was more concerned about the distribution of this e-mail than the information contained within. So this heading should already flash some warning lights.

"Be alert during the next few days: Don't open any message with an attached file called "Invitation", regardless of who sent it."

The first sentence says it all. The next few days are a bit vague. There are no specific dates specified, so the next few days can be any "next few days". Hoaxes always have generalization in mind, so that the e-mail appears applicable at the time when you read it.

"It's a virus that opens an Olympic Torch that "burns" the whole hard disk of your computer."

There is only one strange thing about this sentence. Notice the two spaces between the words 'whole' and 'hard'. It is common among creators of hoaxes that they never give attention to style, grammar or punctuation when compiling e-mails like this. So when you get an e-mail like this with lots of grammatical errors and typos, you can be certain that it is some kind of hoax or scam.

"This virus will come from someone who has your e-mail address; that's why you should send this e-mail to all your contacts. It's better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus"

The first sentence is total rubbish. Of course an e-mail virus comes from someone who has your e-mail address, but it does not mean that you have the e-mail address of everyone who has yours. Hoaxes and scams thrive on circulation, if there is no circulation, there is no possibility of spreading. The fact that it is better to receive the message 25 times than to receive the virus holds some truth. Hoaxes are like chain letters, they keep coming back to you and never stop until everyone decide to break the chain. Again you will notice that the sentence does not end with a full stop.

"DON'T open it and shut down your computer immediately .. This is the worst virus announced by CNN, it's Green Lantern classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever."

This paragraph can easily be identified as a hoax by just confirming this on the websites of CNN and Microsoft. You will be surprised to find that there is no record of this on either CNN.com or Microsoft.com. McAfee mentions this e-mail, but they also classify it as a hoax. It is strange that no virus name is mentioned in this e-mail, all viruses get a descriptive name to help people identify it, so what does it matter what Microsoft says if you don't even know what virus they are talking about? Shut down your computer. Why? It won't even help to shut it down even if it was infected with a virus. Shutting down your computer does not make the virus go away. An e-mail and its contents is completely harmless as long as you don't open it, so there is no need to shut down your computer when you see this e-mail, simply delete it. E-mails can do harm if you use a preview pane, but if you never use a preview pane, it is totally harmless until you open it.

"The virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there's no repair yet for this particular virus. It simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disk, where vital information is kept."

No company in this world will ever confess that they can't fix a problem that is related to their field expertise. What confidence will you have in an anti-virus company if it only tells you about viruses but never fix them. Again notice the use of time. Yesterday can be any day. Anti-virus companies normally gives a specific date when they announce new viruses.

"Also:- Emails with pictures of Osama Bin-Laden hanged are being sent and the moment you open these emails your computer will crash and you will not be able to fix it! This e-mail is being distributed through countries around the globe, but mainly in the US and Israel. Don't be inconsiderate; send this warning to whomever you know. If you get an email along the lines of "Osama Bin Laden Captured" or "Osama Hanged" don't open the attachment.

SEND THIS E-MAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW."

There is not much to say about this paragraph. It is added only to make the e-mail look legitimate, by giving the reader more information to consume. The original virus destroys sector zero of your hard disk and now they mention your computer will crash. There are no details about what happens when your computer crashes and there is no consistency about the symptoms of the virus so you can only assume that they are referring to another virus in this paragraph. Again no virus name is mentioned and the tone of this paragraph is almost like "Oh and by the way..." or "I almost forgot..." which shows you that the writer of this e-mail only had distribution of the e-mail in mind and mumbled a bunch of nonsense just to make it look interesting and have you send it to all your contacts. The first and last sentence of the e-mail is proof of this.

One last thing to mention is the fact that you can't find the name of party who created this e-mail. It is anonymous, but may fool the reader to believe that it comes from CNN, Microsoft or McAfee. Microsoft and CNN never announce security threats by e-mail and anti-virus companies only provide virus information to users who signed up for periodic e-mail announcements. These e-mails normally have the letterhead and logo of the specific anti-virus company.

People should be on the lookout for e-mails like this one and inform other about them, but most importantly, you need to break the chain! Keeping your silence about this will cause the problem of spam, hoaxes and scams to grow bigger and bigger. People may feel that some of these signs may not look that easy to identify, which is true, because you sometimes need some background information to be able to identify e-mails like this, but you should be able to identify other signs like the lack of specific dates and typos easily. You only need to use a little common sense.

Recycling Plastic Makes Economic and Environmental Sense

Plastics products are ubiquitous throughout the world. As dependency upon these light weight and durable products increased, so too has the need for global innovation in mesothilioma technologies. Over the decades recycling companies developed a variety of processes to turn discarded plastics into hundreds of products from paint brushes to rugs and pillows, boat hulls and railroad ties.

Calling the Consumer
The greatest challenge to recycling manufacturers is educating and engaging the public. About 75 percent of Americans recycle newspaper and cardboard while little more than 25 percent recycle plastic. Industry analysts think this low response rate might be due to a lack of injury compensation about the coding on recyclable plastics - the small triangle with a number in the center - that identifies what kind of plastic an item is.

The most frequently recycled plastics of the seven groups of polymer plastics are PET 01,used in soft drink bottles and smaller jars; PE-HD 02, a harder and more durable plastic used in milks bottles and large trash bags; and PE-LD 04 that's tough yet flexible and used in frozen food bags, flexible container lids and squeeze bottles.

Although the recycling rate of these and other products is not yet impressive, the numbers have been steadily rising since 1990. In 2006, about 2.2 billion pounds of PET plastic bottles were recycled and 928 million pounds of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) containers made it to recyclers.

Innovating PET Production
As awareness of the environmental damage done by polymers increased, so too did the urgency to encourage recycling. At the same time, experimentation with processing and application rose. For example, Itfmdafv to a CNN report, a Ph.D. in India, Dr. S. Madhu, included shredded and melted plastic in a roadway surfacing mix. Working for the Kerala Highway Research Institute, Madhu mixed the plastic with aggregate and bitumen to create a surface that withstands the pounding of annual monsoon seasons.

Working in a highly regulated environment, conventional recycling manufacturers focus on producing a long list of common products. Although processes vary, they generally follow a common methodology. First, plastics are sorted according to their PET identification number. This is often done before the recycled products reach the manufacturer. The "dirty" PET containers are also cleaned of labels, glue and other residual materials. A dirty regrind of the PET then goes to re-claimers who process the material into a form that can be used by manufacturers. Re-claimers further clean the materials of contaminants and materials that are lighter than the plastic. The final flakes of PET are washed with a special detergent that gets rid of glues, food or dirt.

Next, the PET materials are further treated with processes that separate the heavier PET particles from the lighter ones - this is called the float-sink stage. The plastics are then dried and ready to become new products in the hands of manufacturers throughout the world.

But, new methods are constantly being developed to recycle PET products, including a de-polymerization process that "reverses" the chemical process used to make the polymer. There are pilot projects using this method, consolidation loan service student well as other innovative processes to make plastic recycling more environmentally friendly and economical.

Demand for Recycled Products
The importance of recycled PET and HDPE cannot be ignored. The latter, heavier PET is used to make building materials that become backyard decks that last longer than wood; it becomes lawn furniture, trash cans, office products, buckets, safety cones and much more. HDPE can also be used to manufacture above and below ground water storage tanks that withstand decades of use.

Of five major classes of PET plastics, the most high-end use is to manufacture new PET bottles and containers. Other classes include plastic sheeting or plastic that's used for molding small items such as scoops for laundry detergent; strapping materials for packaging and transportation; resins that are used in molds for automobile components; and material that's combined to make fibers for carpeting, fabrics and fiber fillings.

Recycled PET can show up in unexpected places such as business cards, sleeping bags, baseball caps and the welcome mat at your front door.

In the Hands of the Consumer
Ultimately, it's all up to the consumer. Awareness of the environmental benefits of recycling plastic and the viability of manufacturing with recycled PET can mitigate environmental damage and support a global industry that returns economical and useful products to the marketplace.

In the U.S., many municipal governments have made it easier for car insuranc to recycle plastic. Cities accept all plastic products with the recycle symbol and do the sorting themselves before shipping off for further processing. The consumer doesn't have to deal with separating PET numbers or peeling off labels. Many states have passed legislation commonly known as "bottle bills" that charge a small fee for plastic containers. There is greater value to the consumer to recycle when there is the incentive of a redemption value. Some communities have "drop off" recycling centers and others have "buy back" centers that pay consumers for recyclable materials.

Whatever the method of recycling or the process that recreates value from discarded PET products, it's clear that the public, governments and industry share a financial and environmental stake in the practice of plastic recycling.

9. Geocaching. This popular treasure hunting game uses a GPS device to find hidden treasures in the field. You can adapt your campsite for this very same function by hiding some objects in the area and allow for family and friends to go hunt for them.

10. Birdwatching. Being away from the city, you have the opportunity to see a number of different types of birds that you would otherwise not be able to appreciate or follow. Here, is a chance to see them in their natural habitat.

11. Watch Animals. Make a blind and stay down wind from the animals. If it is early morning or late in the day, you are likely to see a number of animals come down for a drink.

12. Build a Lean-To or some other man-made shelter. This is a great idea if you are camping with a number of people. A lot of team work will go into building this structure and there is always a lot of satisfaction out of building something with your bare hands. 13. Learn different types of knots and try them out. You can do this for fun to show off to friends or you can make it practical by using the knots to help with your camping. For example, create a rope that will hold up your water bucket from a tree.

Audio Tape Transfer - How to Transfer Cassette Tapes to Computer, CD and MP3 Using Audacity

To transfer a cassette tape to computer you will need the following:

Computer with a sound card
Software application that lets you record stereo audio

These cables can be bought very cheaply and are often used to connect media players to stereos. Plug you cable in and get ready to record!

There is a wealth of recording software for Windows, Macintosh and GNU/Linux to choose from, some of it expensive, some cheap and some free! We're going to use the free software, which is actually very good. Point your web browser to http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and download and install the version suitable for your operating system. Once you've got Audacity installed and working you'll need to check in the Preferences > Audio I/O menu that you have the correct playback and recording inputs selected. If that's ok then press the big round, red record button and then start your tape running.

If you see the meters moving up and down and a waveform being drawn across the screen, well done it's recording your tape! It might be a good idea though to stop and check it sounds ok as very low or very loud recordings will not sound good. You will need to be very careful of what's called clipping. Digital recorders can't record 'into the red' like your old tape deck could. Once they go over 0dB you'll get clipping. This sounds terrible so it's best to check your levels and give yourself a bit of breathing space and record lower. This breathing space is called headroom.

If the recording has gone ok, it's safest to save the file first before you do anything to it, using the File > Save As menu. Now you can play it back, edit it, burn it to a CD or convert it to an OGG or MP3 file for your media player.

If you've any large gaps at the beginning or end, it's a good idea to trim these. Just use the 'I' beam tool and select the flat looking bits of waveform at the start and end of your recording, then press backspace just like you would to delete a word or paragraph in a wordprocessor. If your recording is over 80 minutes and is destined for a CD you will have to split the file by cutting the section for side 2 maybe and pasting this into a new stereo Audacity document as 80 minutes is the most you can burn on a CD. If you want a CD with track points you will need to create 'markers' in Audacity speak at each gap between tracks. If your recording has neat gaps between the tracks then it's pretty easy as your can use Audacity's Find Silence command which will place a marker at every point in the file that the volume falls to a certain level for a certain length of time. This may need a bit of trial and error to get right but it's worth persevering as it saves much time over the manual method of listening to the whole recording an inserting markers at the point between songs or tracks.

If everything's fine, you're almost there. The last stage before putting your recording on CD or converting it to a compressed format for your media player is to Normalize the file. This looks at the whole file, finds the loudest section and then increased the volume of everything in proportion until the loudest part is just as loud as it can be before it clips. I usually Normalize to 98% or -0.3 dB.

Now it's time to make a CD or file. From the File > Export menu choose the mesothelioma information of destination file you need. For CD choose, WAV, AIFF and for your media player choose Ogg Vorbis, FLAC or MP3. Now sit back and let it create the final file.. Anytime is the latest release from Pop Artist Brian Mcknight, and I can only think of one word to describe it AWESOME!

I wish it werent the case but, its not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just cant force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Anytime. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

It's a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I'm more than happy to announce thats exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all, with each song standing tall on it's own.

Anytime has a nicely varied, mix of 12 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly gifted artist. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are him own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions like love, heartbreak, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance. Theyre all here.

I give Anytime my highest recommendation. It just plain belongs in any serious music collectors collection regardless of genre preference.

While the entire album is outstanding some of my favorites are track 4 - The Great Silence Me The Way Back To Your Heart, track 5 - Everytime We Say Goodbye, and track 12 - When The Chariot Comes

But these are the ones Ive seen, and feel are worthy to be called among the greatest of mankind. Some are ancient, some are contemporary, all are great, and until I see something better, this will remain written in stone in me, and I am not adding the space programs, or moon landing in this overview, or scenario. Perhaps too much blood and sweat went into these feats, but then, that is part of the human race is it not, to be and seek challenges. So here we go:

1The Panama Canal: The Panama Canal, one of the worlds most impressive achievements, with three locks, and a long canal 51-miles long is perhaps the Greatest Engineering Feat of Man kind. I visited the site three times, in 2006.

The city of Panama, an old city dates back to 1673 AD (and some structures to 1519 AD: Ive seen them all, impressive); it was once burned down (the old city), I walked among its ruins, which is a UNESCO site now; or World Heritage Site.

What is the Panama Canal? It is a 51-mile waterway, linking the Atlantic with the Pacific oceans. That is it, in a nutshell. I saw large and small ships going through the canal. In the 1880s, France tried to build this waterway, fighting yellow fever and malaria, killing 22,000-people. There was a canal treaty in 1903, and in 1904 the Americans took over the building, and accomplished it in 1914 (it only took ten years to build). They purchased the rights for $40-million dollars from France, who had started the project but could not complete it, at which had $375-million dollars invested into the project; and then the USA invested $300-million. Mountains had to be split in two, creating a crack between them, and manmade lakes created. I saw pictures of the ongoing construction, it was breathtaking, the task.

2The Great Wall of China: I walked on the Great Wall of China, in 1996, it was a haunting experience. Built between 250 BC and 1450 AD, it expands over mountain rangers and across unforeseeable terrain it is spellbinding to walk up and down its wall, knowing it kept the nomad tribes, or better put, the so called barbarians out (or was suppose to). It stretches two-thousand miles across China, and can be seen from outer space. An ancient engineering feet only surpassed (I believe) 500-years later when the Panama Canal was created. You could put six of the pyramids of Egypt into the construction of the Canal, and have leftover debris.

3The Central Railroad of Peru (completed in 1907): The Central Railroad of Peru the most distinguished in the world (historically); an engineering feat of land and steal where it reached to heights of fifteen-thousand eight hundred and thirty feet (above sea level) to the city of Ticlio, then down to Bone City (La Oroya) and onto Huancavelica: One thousand miles of rail through mountains, across 41-bridges, around 13-zigzags, through 60-tunnels. It goes alongside the Mantaro Refinance with bad credit in the Mantaro Valley of Peru (as you can see there were many technical engineering difficulties involved in its making). I have not been on this railroad, but Ive seen the bridges, and the tunnels they carved and built for this accomplished, while traveling throughout the Andes of Peru, and the Mantaro Valley itself, and been to the Rio.

4The Pan-American Highway: While in South America, Ive been on this highway a dozen times, but while in Bogota, Columbia, I found it was a little different in that those folks who died on the highway, their loved ones planted trees for them, and you see these trees all about. What a kind gesture.

This was no little project, 29,800 miles of highway (the whole system); from beyond Fairbanks, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina in South America (with a 54-mile gap in the rainforest). It is the Americas supper highway, it is really too big, and too complex to put into a small paragraph like this, but let me say, it is a tourist haven; perhaps the best way to travel in the Americas besides the jet.

5The Plateau of Giza: and its Pyramids and Sphinx (Egypt): When I was in Egypt, I took a tour of the Plateau, and of course the three pyramids, and went into the pyramid of Khafra, with its tunnels, and sections, and all. And got a front row tour of the Sphinx, which only a few people get, and very few, it has to be at midnight to get that special tour, and costly (perhaps as much as the trip to Egypt itself), but you get what you pay for, to touch it, and perhaps a little more). The Great Sphinx is north side of the court, in front are temples, ruins. When you see this combination, and all its linking connections, throughout the Plateau, and the connections with the heavens, astronomical associations, it is a gallery of Engineering on a grand scale.

6The Siberian Railroad: Ive only been on what one may call, a small section of it (Perhaps the European Section), for it goes from England to Brussels, Belgium, to Cologne, Germany, and on to Moscow, Russia, and then on to capitol of Mongolia (Ulan Bater), and to Beijing, China. Not sure who gets the credit for building it, perhaps those countries I just mentioned, it is, if anything, a United Nations Achievement, in that it crosses the boarder of so many countries. But the miles involved, for such a trip I just mentioned would take six-days on the train that in itself is an Engineering feat unsurpassed in a railroad.

7The Alaskan Pipeline: On my way to Barrow, Alaska and during a flight while in Barrow, across its tundra, I saw pipeline, it is massive, and like a long unending snake. It bewilders me how one might have to go out and fix a link, oh well, the week in Barrow, in 1996, was a long week to say the least, and you see nothing in the Arctic but white, no trees, no anything, except, white bears, white this and that, and the pipeline, which looks white after a while also but is perhaps more silver looking. Back in 1968-69, when I went to San Francisco, many folks were heading up there to work on oil projects, anticipating the pipeline, as if it was a gold rush. I remember quite well, Dan, a friend of mine, back then; his stepbrothers father was heading up there, to work in oilfields.

The 800-mile-long Trans Alaska Pipeline, it started up in 1977, and pumped, successfully transporting over 15-billion barrels of oil since. It crosses three mountain ranges and over 800 rivers and streams; it cost $8-billion to build, and was mostly from privately funds. It took three-years, and two months to build between 1974-1977, I assume the planning stages were complicated, for they had to build seven airfields to accommodate the construction.

8Borobudur (the Magnificence): A master piece of art, and engineering (assembly): temple, or shrine to Buddha, with 504 Buddhas statues in sitting or standing positions around the shrine. It is wider than the Great Pyramid of Egypt, built on a mound. I went there in 1999, summer and it encircled me, until I got to its peak, Built in the 8th Century, AD. It has two-million blocks of volcanic rock, to the total building structure, the area is 14,165 square meters, with a width of 120 M. With a total weight of 3,500,000 tones. Only about 5000 visitors go there a year it is not one of your regular stops, to say the least, You have to fly into Yogyakarta, central, Java, to get there (from the Midwest, you go to Alaska to Japan, to Guam, to Bali, and a small plane can take you into the city. On the top of the shrine, is a giant Stupa; there is also a calm, about, and around the whole area.

Feeling you need to prove yourself to others is an issue that will definitely hold you back when you're learning how to become good with women. Thinking back, ALL I was thinking back when I was having this success was... "I'm having fun, this is fun and I'm going to try these things out to see if they work".

When I was having the success I wasn't thinking, "Yeah I better do this or I'll show to myself (or others around me) that I'm bad with women". This mentality does not help one bit. Trying to prove yourself to others does not help. So how can we stop ourselves from falling into this ego trap?

Being humble and accepting that you need to learn this step by step, and knowing that you WILL make mistakes is the way to go. No one will think less of you for it. Everyone will think highly of you. The instruments of the present NI Premium Library comprise not only of conventional analogue and FM synthesizers, but also hybrid instruments, new kinds of synthesizers, and rhythm machines.

The instruments are created by top sound-designers, and many are direct emulations of well known synthesizers. Without using the names of the originals they have put large clues Pop Rocks the names of the instruments and made them look like the real thing. Are you aware of what is going on down here? I mean really, we need some help and I thought it better to Father Ted you than just get down on my knees and pray. I read that Footsteps in the Sand thing and still think that it's possible the other set of prints disappeared, not because you were carrying me, but because you went to the store when I started to tell you how I was feeling.

At any rate, I thought email might be faster and you'd have copy as would I for future reference. So back to my question. Are you aware of what's going on here? Was there some hurricane that re-wiped out the oil rigs that I missed, or did someone turn off the flow of oil, because gas keeps going up a dime a day around here! I can't get it out of my head that we're contraceptive gassed so to speak by those who do such things.
